Employee Appreciation Day (EAD) is only a few short days away. On Friday, 7th March, companies around the world will swap the everyday grind for some internal gratitude and celebration. This worldwide holiday was first founded in 1995 as a way for employers and organisations to express their gratitude to their workforce. We’re delighted this important event has stuck around and become something for all workers in every area of employment to look forward to. As a retailer known nationally for its incredible progressional opportunities, EZ Living Furniture couldn’t help but take this moment to show its appreciation to all employees within the company. Still, it isn’t just EAD we’re celebrating this weekend, International Women’s Day (IWD) takes place just one day after - Saturday, 8th March, so we have lots to celebrate company-wide.

Why Employee Appreciation Day & International Women’s Day Matter

A recent 2024 Society of Human Resources Management survey found that 79% of employees feel more motivated when appreciated. EZ Living Furniture works hard year-round to create a positive working environment in all areas of the business, and this is done by investing in wellbeing and continuous development, both personal and professional. Within our Talent Hub platform, employees have access to company-funded courses, exclusive discounts across a range of local products and services nationwide, as well as a fully confidential counselling service for anyone that needs it.

International Women’s Day is a day dedicated to celebrating women’s accomplishments and nurturing gender equality. This day can be traced back to 1909 and has been instrumental in breaking barriers that would have once hindered women’s progressional opportunities within the workforce. 68.27% of managerial roles in EZ Living Furniture are currently occupied by women and we encourage others to come forward for personal, professional, and lasting change.

What Is EZ Living Furniture Doing To Recognise Its Employees On EAD & IWD

We couldn’t pass up the chance to reward our employees during two of the most recognised workplace holidays of the year, which is why we have organised a gift for every member of staff, a small token of our appreciation for all their hard work and dedication. We would love to share the details of the gift with you all, but we’ve been sworn to secrecy - all will be revealed shortly (keep an eye on our social media channels here - Instagram, Facebook).

Highlighting Just Some Of EZ Living Furniture's Incredible Employees

While we are incredibly grateful to every single person working with and for EZ Living Furniture, we wanted to highlight a number of inspiring men and women in various roles throughout the company to shed light on their professional achievements, experiences, and even challenges and how we’ve supported them to overcome it.
