As we rapidly approach 2026, the world of interior design is poised for a comprehensive interior transformation. As we look to the new year, we turn to colour palettes to guide us on our home decor journey. Next year, shades that blend nature, luxury, and modern energy are the ones to watch. From earthy tones that reconnect us with the natural world to bold hues that reflect the digital age, the 2026 colours promise to bring something different. Whether you’re planning on a home refresh or a complete renovation, this EZ Living Furniture blog dives into the top 5 colour trends for 2026 that will redefine interiors and inspire your next design project.
Earthy Terracotta
Next year, it’s earthy terracotta that’s taking centre stage. This warm hue has been around for some time, and you might even recall it becoming incredibly popular in the early 00s. Back then, it seemed everything boasted a warm terracotta colour, including us (our spray tans weren’t what they are today). Still, this beautiful shade is being toned down, and instead of the deep brick or rich clay colours we’re used to seeing, this trending shade is taking a more versatile approach, almost verging on a peach or blush tone. I think we speak for everyone when I say our move from clinical whites to calming neutrals is a welcome change. If you are looking to bring this trending hue into your home, we’d suggest introducing the new-to-the-crew sofa - the Miller - to your living room. While not quite as dark as the terracotta shade mentioned, it will still bring that warming feeling into a space. Pictured above, this beautiful mink-coloured velvet sofa would be a wonderful addition to any living room in 2026 (and beyond).
Dusty Rose
Dusty rose or a muted pink is set to dominate in 2026, and we’re here for it! This beautiful blush shade is already making waves in the fashion world and wedding scene, and now, it’s coming to a home near you! In 2026, you should plan to introduce this warming hue into your interior in any way you can, whether that’s through accessories, furniture, or soft furnishings. The Boston Armchair above is striking, on-trend, and will immediately grab the eye of anyone in its presence. It also helps that this armchair is incredibly comfortable and comes with a matching footstool, allowing you to fully relax and put your feet up after a long, hard day.
Moss Green
Green is everyone’s colour, or at least that’s what we like to say here in EZ Living Furniture. Next year, moss green is stealing the limelight and is expected to appear everywhere in the home, from the living room to the bathroom. With a large selection of moss-green-coloured furniture and accessories to choose from, we had a tough job picking our favourite green piece for 2026. The Robin Ottoman Bed (above) is a functional and stylish bed that is incredibly eye-catching. With its beautiful forest-inspired shade, this piece is sure to make a statement in any room. Underneath the Robin, a large storage area can be found and is accessible using handles, enhancing this bed’s versatility.
Electric Blue
Blue is another “it” colour in 2026. In the New Year, this dazzling electric blue shade is set to shine in all areas of the home. This petrol-blue-like shade immediately draws the eye with its moody exterior and deep, captivating appearance. While we love this trend, we would advise using it sparingly; you want this shade to pop and be the statement in a room rather than overwhelming an area, which is the case when overused. The Genoa Sofa above is one of the newest sofas in our collection and is upholstered in this gorgeous, trending shade. While the sofa itself has been a firm favourite with customers for many years now, the electric blue material is a new addition, and we might be biased, but we love it! With the tufted button seat detail, dark walnut brown feet, and now, electric-blue shade, the Genoa Sofa Range is expected to be a big hit in 2026 and beyond.
Champagne Gold
Bring muted gold into your interior in 2026. Instead of the bold, yellow-toned gold we’re used to seeing, champagne gold is walking confidently into our homes in the New Year. This luxurious shade, often associated with royalty, is one we should suggest using for your accessories. Whether you’re interested in bringing new wall art, vases, or photo frames into your space, choose champagne gold as the primary colour. The Oyster Wall Clock above is a perfect example of how you could introduce this shade to multiple areas in the home, yet still create a striking and functional statement.
Prioritising those 2026 shades above will mean you spend less time researching and more time shopping in the New Year – browse our website here to see exactly what we have to offer you, your home, and your family!
